SEC Commissioner Peirce proposed the establishment of an encryption asset security port mechanism.
According to Gate News bot, Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the SEC, spoke at the SEC Speaks conference. As the head of the SEC's crypto task force, Peirce proposed the establishment of a time-limited safe harbor mechanism. This mechanism would allow issuers to engage in cryptocurrency asset trading under the condition that they meet disclosure and investor protection requirements, in order to achieve functional delivery or Decentralization goals.
In addition, Peirce also suggested clearly defining the separation node between encryption assets and investment contracts, while providing regulatory exemptions for non-securities encryption assets such as airdrops, NFTs, and stablecoins.
